The most common license that a landscaper holds is a Green Belt Landscaper License, which is actually required in order to work on a property. In addition to that, any Landscaper that works for a contractor must hold a Contractor’s License, which allows them to work on residential or commercial properties, without having to be licensed by the State Department of Licensing and Regulation. Basically, this type of Landscaper is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Landscaping, in addition to several years of experience working as an apprentice on projects within their field of expertise.
